This excerpt contains the copyright page, the prologue, and a few pages from Part 2 (of 5 parts), Chapter 6, "Rejuvenation at the Lake". In this part of the story, the main characters, Marcus and Dylan, have previously run away from their homes in the bible-thumping, strict, military-dominant order-conservative region of the country of Eastern United States. They are now in Wyoming, which is in the liberal Western United States, spending some time out of their comfort zone with Lily, a member of a nomadic hippie tribe, during a stop on their trip to San Francisco.
